Camino Scholarship

The Camino Project offers all-expenses paid pilgrimage scholarships on the Camino de Santaigo for young adult Catholics (ages 18-24) that are devoutly practicing their faith and dedicated to serving the Church and their community. Our scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial need. These pilgrimages are then used as fundraising efforts for other Catholic charities working in Chicago's most vulnerable neighborhoods.

If you feel that you meet this criteria, we would love to review your application! In order for us to conduct a thorough review of our applicants, you will be required to provide the following documentation:

  • A letter of recommendation from the Pastor of your home parish. This letter must also attest that you have received all of the sacraments.
  • A letter of recommendation from management of any charitable organizations for whom you have volunteered.
  • A medical physical from your primary care doctor. The date of the physical must not be prior to the date of your initial application. A form will be provided that you will share with your doctor.

Note: you may be required to provide financial documents upon request.

Media such as pictures and video that showcases your faith life and service efforts are not required but encouraged.
